Absolute EDDM
An integrated Every Door Direct Mail (EDDM) platform that combines mailing route selection and print production within a single system. Unlike traditional workflows where EDDM tools and printing services operate separately, Absolute EDDM unifies campaign targeting, order configuration, and print preparation into one streamlined experience for end customers.
Project Overview
Understanding the Project
The Goal
Build a unified EDDM solution that allows customers to select mailing routes, configure print specifications, and prepare compliant USPS documentation within a single platform, eliminating the need for disconnected third-party tools.
The Challenge
Designing a system capable of accurately handling USPS EDDM requirements while dynamically generating all required data formats and documentation. The platform needed to automate route selection logic, pricing calculations, and compliance file generation, reducing manual preparation and minimizing the risk of submission errors.
My Role
Lead Full-Stack Developer responsible for system architecture, USPS compliance logic implementation, route selection integration, pricing engine development, and automated documentation generation.

Architecture Design Decisions
These decisions were intentional to ensure the site feels professional, calm, and easy to navigate:
- A guided, step-based customer flow to reduce friction for non-technical users purchasing mail campaigns
- Map-first interaction model to make route selection intuitive and visual
- Centralized pricing rules and admin-controlled configuration to support frequent business changes
- Payment processing abstracted into a dedicated integration layer to keep checkout logic maintainable
Results & Learnings
The platform simplified campaign creation by combining mailing route selection and print ordering into a unified workflow. All required USPS data formats and documentation are automatically generated by the system, significantly reducing manual preparation time, minimizing compliance errors, and accelerating campaign turnaround.
