A digital wedding invitation built as a full web platform combining a visual-first landing experience with practical guest features: countdown timer, event schedule, location with Google Maps, photo gallery, dress code, RSVP form, and a dedicated page for guests to upload their photos and videos to a shared Google Drive folder.

The Goal
Design and deploy a personal and memorable digital invitation that could replace traditional printed invitations, provide guests with all logistical information in one place, and create a shared space for collecting photos and memories from the wedding day.
The Challenge
Building an emotionally engaging experience that felt personal and polished while remaining accessible to non-technical guests across all devices. The project also required balancing design-driven decisions with practical constraints such as domain configuration, hosting setup, and integration with third-party tools (Google Forms, Google Drive) without custom backend development.
My Role
Co-developed within a two-person team, owning the technical infrastructure layer: WordPress and Elementor setup on Hostinger, custom domain and DNS configuration, and deployment strategy. Contributed UI/UX recommendations and proposed key concepts including the interactive envelope entry screen, the photo upload page, and the Google Drive and Google Forms integration approach.

What I Built
- Interactive entry screen featuring an animated wax-sealed envelope that opens on tap, leading guests into the main invitation.
- Hero section with the couple's photo, names in script typography, wedding date, and location.
- Live countdown timer displaying days, hours, minutes, and seconds remaining until the wedding day.
- Event location section with venue address and a Google Maps link for easy navigation.
- Detailed event schedule showing the full timeline of the wedding day with illustrated icons for each event.
- Couple's photo gallery showcasing their shared history throughout the relationship.
- RSVP confirmation flow integrated with Google Forms for guest attendance management.

Architecture Design Decisions
These decisions were intentional to ensure the site feels professional, calm, and easy to navigate:
- Two-page structure: a teaser landing with the interactive envelope and a main invitation page containing all event information.
- Envelope-first interaction pattern to generate curiosity and emotional engagement before revealing the invitation content.
- No custom backend or authentication required — guest-facing functionality was achieved entirely through third-party integrations (Google Forms, Google Drive), keeping the platform lightweight and maintainable.
- Elementor-based implementation to allow non-technical content management and future updates without code changes.
- Mobile-first layout ensuring full usability on smartphones, which represent the primary access device for most guests.
- Background music integrated to create an immersive experience aligned with the wedding's emotional tone.
Results & Learnings
The platform served as the primary invitation channel for the wedding, providing guests with a memorable, interactive experience and all the practical information they needed in one place. The photo upload page created a collaborative post-event memory collection, allowing guests to contribute to a shared archive without requiring accounts or technical knowledge. The project reinforced the value of combining smart third-party integrations with focused design decisions to deliver a high-quality product with minimal technical overhead.
